What a glorious autumn day it was today! Sometimes I miss the brilliant, blazing autumn colour I used to see when we lived in New England, but today, under pale blue skies, I was very contented with England's (or really Wales's) green (and yellow and red) pleasant land. Do you get autumn colour where you live?

Update on my current story: I've decided to reveal the secret to the reader at the halfway point. I feel like it could work for the second half of the story to be about the tension of the character keeping the secret from the person in question, but it would be frustrating for the reader to spin it out any longer. We shall see what my editor says!
Just finished Into the Darkest Day..I thought it was so well written ..There were so many secrets as to the characters’ pasts that made for such “can’t put down this book” interesting reading… a powerful and in some instances a heartbreakingly true and painful story of love and loss in war torn Europe..

Readers, I need your input! If a character is keeping a big secret, would you prefer to know it earlier on, while it is still a secret from the other characters, or would you prefer to have a big reveal at the end, and learn it the same time others do?
