Almost done
I'm putting the final touches on my ms this evening and sending it winging to London via cyberspace tonight--thank goodness!! Then it will be time to crack on with my next story, which I've outlined. Whew. After that I think I'll need several weeks of no writing and strong drinks.I was walking down Madison Avenue with the snow falling and noticing how winter in New York brings out an almost 1940s feel-- men wear fedoras and trenchcoats and everyone carries old fashioned, wood handled umbrellas. I also passed by a Starbucks with a very Mediterranean looking man sitting in the window, wearing a wool trenchcoat with the collar turned up, half dozing in front of his cup of coffee. It made me wonder what kind of man he was, and what his story is, for everyone has one, and he looked like a Presents hero come to life!
To celebrate my finished manuscript, I'm giving things away--because I love to give things away! Leave a comment and I'll draw a winner--the prize is a copy of my first book, The Italian's Chosen Wife (whose cover I still absolutely adore)
and a $10 Starbucks drink card--
because the man in the window is going to be the inspiration for my next book.

Congrats on finishing the manuscript. It's so cold in NYC. Stay warm. I think it's going to be 8 degrees tonight.
I could just picture your description of walking down Madson Avenue in the snow. That has the makings of a great story I think.
Congrat's on finishing your latest.
Chris.
Congrats on putting the final touches to your ms, Kate! Knew you could do it. Have fun with Pretend Mistress, Convenient WIfe.
Can't wait to read them, I loved The Italian's Bought Bride.
