Life
has a way of getting in the way of writing. Funny, that. I haven't written anything for weeks but then yesterday was finally warm enough for the children to play outside, and I actually managed to finish chapter nine of my current book (out of ten chapters, whew!) while they played. Then I thought, tonight when they're all in bed I'll write chapter 10!
Or not. Instead I went to bed at eight o'clock. Writers have such exciting lives, don't they??
Meanwhile some nice news--I got a lovely review for The Greek Tycoon's Convenient Bride from Romance Readers at Heart, which I'll try and post here soon. I also have a short story out next week in Woman's Weekly in England called Triangles, which was lots of fun to write and is definitely *not* a romance! In fact, it's a bit creepy. If you live in the UK you can find it in the Woman's Weekly Spring Fiction Special.
Now I am going to try to write at least some of chapter 10. Fifteen minutes to eight o'clock...

I'm back!
From a trip to the UK--we had three days which we spent mostly in Oxford and Bath--no word on how the interview went! We flew back to New York and then drove directly to Canada, where the children have been spending some time with my parents--with freezing temperatures and three feet of snow! Back home tomorrow and the daily routine begins again... and I *must* finish my book this week--still have those pesky 50 pages to write...
After five days away, it was nice to be welcomed back with deathgrip hugs and smacking kisses from the kids!

It's official...
My fifth book, The Greek Tycoon's Reluctant Bride, will be published January 2009. And in case you need a bit of greek tycoon earlier than that, my second book, The Greek Tycoon's Convenient Bride, is available now!
Meanwhile I'm trying to finish my sixth book before husband & I head to the UK on Saturday for a job interview [his, not mine!]. I don't think I'll finish. I still have about 50 pages to write...

We interrupt this program..
to tell you I've been absent from this blog because we've all come down with the dreaded stomach flu. I haven't done much of anything besides stay in bed, turn the TV on for the children, make toast, and mop up. Yuck.
