Help needed
So I am writing this book. Slowly. A sentence here, a paragraph there, sometimes a page or more, almost all typed one handed as I hold and/or nurse a baby. The only problem with this really is that I have wrenched my shoulder in the process and it KILLS. All the time. I've tried icy hot ointment, long hot showers, plenty of tylenol and advil, alternating ice packs and a heating pad. I sleep flat on my back at night except when I'm nursing Anna, and still! The pain. OUCH. So does anyone have any miracle cures for me? What's been your trick with bad shoulder/back pain? Somebody have a suggestion, please!!!

Hi Kate

I use a sports balm rub and hold nothing heavier than a pen. l do not put any thing hot on it at all. But the best medicine is rest for the shoulder and a bit of increase in your protein intake.

Kate, I'd try acupuncture, or a chiropractor, or massage?
Hope it gets better soon, but you should probably rest it as much as possible.

Ouch. That must be so sore when you're trying to lift/carry/hold a small person. When my back is inflamed (after a fall when carrying my son when he was small - babies are a danger!) I use the herb Devil's Claw and that reduces the inflamation. Hope you feel better soon
