Whew
I'm not sure why or how I thought I was going to be able to finish my current ms before Christmas. Christmas! I ask you: what was I thinking?! The good news is that I have been working on it, and it's going well--for the moment! Things can change any second, though, I've learned that much.Meanwhile a rather significant pipe in our basement has started leaking so that the intermittent drip.... drip... drip.... has become a far steadier and more alarming dripdripdripdripdrip and the plumber can't come until Monday. Well, he could come today if we wanted to offer him all our savings and our firstborn child in payment of the emergency callout fee, but since we're undeniably cheap we're keeping our children and money and waiting until Monday. Let's hope it's not a disaster.
