Glad you survived your daughter's bday! I remember sleepovers at that age - I don't think my mom got any sleep during those!
Thanks for commenting on my blog! Any advice I can get from a published author is welcome!!! And I agree with you - if I pick up a book where the author broke the rules and my interest waned during the book, or there were times when I wanted to put the book down, I'm not likely to pick up another book by that author.
But the problem is that for me, anyway, most of the time I end up liking the book! There are very few books that I can't get through at all, can't even finish. And most, if I stick through with it, I end up thinking "That was actually pretty good." Though I may not pick up another book by that author, I suppose. But I can appreciate telling in some circumstances. It's never bothered me too much in the past. I don't know...I'm kinda rambling, and I'm at work, so I should get back to it.
